X-Stiffener™

Making your blades stronger

The X-Stiffener™ is a solution developed to prevent longitudinal cracks on the leading edge of the wind turbine blade, which are often found after only a few years of operation.

Why it works

X-Stiffener™ significantly reduces twisting and peeling stresses to a non-critical level. The twisting in turbine blades is caused by edgewise loading due to gravity and aerodynamic forces caused by the wind. The X-Stiffener™ acts like a cross in a bookshelf and thereby avoiding deformation of the shear webs.
